THE CENTER FOR AFRICA MISSIONS
The Center for Africa Missions is a Christian charity/missionary organization that focuses on improving the lives and living conditions in the most deprived communities of Ghana and elsewhere in Africa. Center for Africa Missions was founded to reach out with God’s love to young and old alike and also disadvantage children in the rural communities of Ghana and other parts of Africa. Over the past few years we have reached several thousand through various programs that include crusades, leadership conferences, church planting, the establishment of three schools, feeding programs and community development programs.
Our objective is simply to reach out to all of Africa with the Gospel and position the African Church to also be a sender of missionaries to the entire world so as to help bring in the end time harvest to Jesus.
John 4: 34 Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. 35 Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! 36 And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. 37 For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38 I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”
PROGRAMS
STRENGTHEN TO LEAD (STL): This is our Leadership development program that seeks to provide encouragement and support to indigenous leaders committed to the Great Commission. There are many pastors and leaders laboring all across Africa who are in the ministry because they saw the need and heard the call and answered yes. They are not people sent by any denomination and so lack the support and group fellowship that they sometimes need to be encouraged to keep on going. Through the STL program we mobilize these groups of leaders and do whatever we can to strengthen and renew them for the work of the ministry. Conferences, Special School of Ministry, Feeding and providing Leadership resources are some of the ways we minister to them.
EDUCATE AFRICA: We recognize the fact that it will take education for African communities to transform from subsistence agrarian farming settlements into developed well organized societies with enhanced living conditions. It is in light of this that we have embarked on numerous projects and programs to provide many poor communities with basic education.
Currently we are involved in five different rural villages where living conditions are harsh and there are very little or no educational programs.
Our goal is to provide the children of these communities access to free basic education. We have adopted the motto “Something is better than nothing”; using every resource we could get to help provide education for these children.
FOSTER HOME FOR THE HOMELESS AND ORPHANS:
Children are the greatest assets of every society. They do better when they have a good home to foster their growth and development. Unfortunately there are numerous children that are dealing with neglect and abandonment due to various factors. The Center for Africa Missions is taking up the challenge of providing a loving caring home for as many of these less privileged children that we will have the resources to help.
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT: We have recently started a well project in the village of Akolikope in the Volta Region of Ghana. These precious people have no source of potable water. They currently get water from a local pond, which is about a 35 minute walking distance from their village.
